Kathryn Rupp A Minnesota-based soprano known for versatility and expressive artistry, Kathryn is a passionate collaborator drawn to art songs and premiering new works. She performs locally with regional organizations including the Schubert Club, Source Song Festival, Edvard Grieg Society, Dakota Valley Symphony, and Southwest Minnesota Orchestra; and has performed operatic roles at festivals in the U.S. and abroad. |

David Walton Praised for his “plangent timbre” and as “the sweetest singing of the evening...a lyric tenor with strong Italianate stylings,” David dazzles onstage as a versatile lyric tenor to watch. A favorite of bel canto, he has performed as Ferrando in Mozart‘s Così fan tutte, Tonio in Donizetti‘s La fille du régiment, and Almaviva in Rossini‘s Il barbiere di Siviglia. |

Fumiyasu Kawase A collaborative pianist and vocal coach who consistently brings exciting, flourishing emotion and passion to his performance, Fumi is a Minnesota Opera Resident Artist for both the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 seasons. Prior to joining MN Opera, Fumi was a member of the Baumgartner Studio Artist program at The Florentine Opera for the 2023–2024 season. |
